Some excellent tips - particularly regarding the SPF, DMARC, and DKIM checks. While a bit more technical than writing and sending emails - it's great to see you highlight them and bring the attention to such important factors.

    1. 1

Thank you, I am glad it was useful.

Thank you for the article. The concrete steps you share are extremely valueable. Do you think there is a time limit after which you should not re-engage after you missed to follow up?

  18. 1

I read and it is🔥. Have never come across such detailed practical guide on cold emailing. Thanks a ton for sharing. @vikxo

Great post. My favorite piece of condensed advice on this topic is: find a way to immediately deliver value.

If you can give someone something helpful straight away, it makes the relationship much easier to start.

  20. 1

    Nice article.

    Quick question:
Say I'm in the early ideation phase and I want to reach out to more people who would be potential future users so I can hear their pain points and build a product based on that.

How exactly would any of this differ? Because technically I'm not really selling them anything, just want some of their time to chat with them as I develop an outline for a product.

    Thanks again!

    1. 2

It wont, just the messaging. After all, email is just a medium. "The ask" is an ask :)

  21. 1

    Great cold email tips

  22. 1

    Wow!

    I am blown away.

I will apply this immediately to my start-up GoodQuestion.io (a note taking & collaboration tool designed for panel interviewers)

@vikxo If we go with shared domains with single mail server then if one domain is blacklisted will it impact entire mail server having multiple domains?

    1. 1

You mean different domains or subdomains?
Technically, different domains are better than subdomains. Each domain as its own reputation.

  27. 1

@vikxo really amazing article about the cold emailing. I got a very valuable information from your post. I do not know about the email warming i understand it well how everything work.

Is you got good result from every campaign?

  28. 1

    Thanks for sharing!
Did you use personalization/icebreakers in your emails?
If so, which ones were the most effective?

    1. 1

Hi @Holger, yes - the emails were personalized based on personas. The magic happens after you have the list you have to do segmentation, and then build sequences. I am going to publish Part 2 where I am covering this specific topic.

  29. 1

Thank you for your informative post. It was very helpful in understanding the topic better. It is always helpful to hear from other experienced people. I appreciate your willingness to share them with us.

Hey @JoyNeverFarts, thanks a lot for your kind comments. I'm glad you found the information useful.

  30. 1

    Hi Vivek,

quick ques.. How does one send personalized thousands of cold emails with personalization? Is it possible with some sort of automation?

    1. 2

Yes @navdeepsoni. Guess what, there is a Part 2 coming next :)
      It is in-progress.

      1. 2

tag us on your next thread.. looking forward to your advanced learnings :)

        1. 1

          I will share on Indiehacker.

This blog and the information in it is very insightful. I would definitely like to try it for my next campaign.

  32. 1

As someone who is very new to marketing, I found this super helpful. Thank you for posting!

Question- if I’m using email forwarding from an email address on my secondary domain to my personal gmail account will that affect the reputation of my personal gmail account or are those reputations separate?

    1. 1

Hi @mikedotdev - Forwarding email is completely different. I also don't think, it impacts inbox/domain reputation.

  33. 1

Hey Vivek, it's a really detailed and well crafted post.

I made just a fraction of what you generated (almost $100k) and your post would have helped me.

As a side recommendation, check out Alex Berman's YouTube, he's also killing it!

    1. 2

Thanks @marclou, much appreciated. Great work making $100K, by no means it's a small amount. Impressive.

Also, thanks for the recommendation, I will check out.

  34. 1

Just want to say - Thank You to everyone who subscribed to the newsletter. I'm very grateful.

  35. 1

    Thanks, great insights!

  36. 1

Thanks, I was also thinking about using different domains. One question - isn't cold email illegal now? certainly over here in Europe GDPR put a stop to it. I think CAN-SPAM is more permissive in the US.

    1. 1

It's not illegal to send cold emails, but there are GDPR laws that you have to follow. I recommend reading this post - https://woodpecker.co/blog/gdpr-faq/

Thanks for sharing this info. Do you help businesses with their cold email outreach?

    1. 1

Thanks for reaching out. Yes, I do. Btw, I responded you on LinkedIn :)

  38. 1

This is great stuff. Most people disregard SPF/DKIM/DMARC and the important of warming up.

For anyone wondering what are good warmup tools, GMass has a good (and free) option for g-suite. Lemlist, and warmupinbox are also good

    1. 1

Thanks. Yes, super important if you want to build a scalable and sustainable engine.

I am soon writing a part 2 and going to share tools, in-depth analysis on metrics, some problems, etc.

  39. 1

Thank you for putting together this write-up full of actionable advice.

    1. 1
