Post your work and I'll rate it for you.

Consider me as a person who saw your product somewhere on the internet and immediately clicks the link because it was enticing in the beginning and now has only 1 minute to decide everything after landing on your page. Using this simulation because most of our customers don't spend more than a minute I reckon until the product is lost or caught.

Rating will be from 0 - 10. 0 = could use improvement, 10 = good start.

Looking forward to your beautiful creations.
Cheers

Sleek UI (similar to Plausible's, but better 😉)

      1. 1

        Hi,
How is it better than Plausible? Both look same to me so curious

        1. 4

The main difference is that we focus on developers and try to make it as easy as possible to use it in your product. Think of "analytics as a service". We have customers that run blog platforms, SaaS, airport terminals, ...

And then there are tons of tiny differences. Our UI is better, the statistics are probably more accurate (hard to measure, but our blog customer compares the numbers from Plausible, GA, and Pirsch), Pirsch is cheaper, ...

If you're using Plausible right now, I wouldn't say you necessarily have to switch, but you might want to give it a spin. I think it's nice that there are now so many options besides GA and more complicated ones, like matomo.

          1. 2

Well explained @m5blum, but for a person landing for a minute, some points:
            ---
Everything was attractive to the eye, until i stumbled upon the Pricing page, if the service already exists, you need to offer a bit more than UI, atleast for User Onboarding, check out how you can incorporate "pay as you go" pricing model as well for some of the skeptical ones out there, and if someone is already using a similar service its even harder to convince them to make them switch platforms because trust is established, for your pricing if you want to stand out, atleast in the beginning phase.
As a curious SAAS explorer and learner, I would rate pirsch.io at 7.0/10.0.
            ---
I am also working on a time based saas tool, my pricing model is the biggest dilemma im having myself because what worked 5 years ago in saas wont work today. I am a mere learner myself so take my words with a grain of salt :D

Thank you for the feedback! :)

              1. 2

Thanks, I actually learnt a thing or two from your profile about you going twice on PH, and I immediately worked on it, I now have a form to start the process of awareness.
                ---
I'm working on a Time based Tool app and if you have time then you may give this form a read (50 second read time) in your spare time. https://forms.gle/SqnQQH7brM6d2SCJA

Thanks a lot for offering to do this!

    Here is my project: https://featurebase.app/

    1. 2

      Looks neat!
Please add demo for "widget" feature also

      1. 1

Thanks for pointing it out, yea that is something I have forgotten to do.

    2. 2

Love the design and clarity of the landing page. Will give it a try.

      1. 1

        Thanks, Tuancao! 🤗
Btw if you have any questions about setting everything up you can quickly reach out in the live chat.

        1. 1

Yup. Sure, Bruno. I'm probably not at the scale of needing this yet, to be honest. Will check it out later.

Btw, I think you price Enterprise too cheap. Anything with should be at least hundreds of dollars.

          1. 1

Sure, no worries. I definitely agree with you, we are going to raise our prices soon.

    3. 1

Hey @BrunoHiis, I gave 1 minute to make or break on your landing page.
      ---
      Some key points:
Your UI is clean and polished which is + to the eyes landing on first time.
The idea of voting has existed before but I would say this seems well executed so it could work out.
Everything was going good and interesting until I saw the pricing page, the price tiers are a good but you got to have atleast one tier that makes the person seeing the tiers feel he can take the risk with a new brand. Im not asking you to lower prices, but Im assuming you dont have marketing budget like the big guns to build trust psychology how the corporations do (coca cola, pepsi, nike, adidas etc) so build trust from ground up, maybe offer a easier and more affordable User Onboarding process and from there go on..
As a curious SAAS explorer and learner, I would rate https://featurebase.app/ at 6.5/10.0. I think you need a pricing model that not only appeals to commercials but starting out individualists like the "creator" market.
      ---
I am also working on a time based saas tool, my pricing model is the biggest dilemma im having myself because what worked 5 years ago in saas wont work today. I am a mere learner myself so take my words with a grain of salt. If you would like to know a bit more about my time based tool, you may give this form (50 seconds read) a look in your spare time. great UI. Is it handmade ?

      1. 2

    Thanks!

    1. 1

I came across this and in under a minute I was sold.
      ---
      Some key points:
      Your UI is impressive.
Your aspect of Gamification is impressive, while not over complicating things.
Your show of Testimonials is quite good to build trust for new eyes.
There are few more subtle things, from color scheme to borderline edges, everything was good.
      Last but not the least,
your pricing model is what caught my eye, it is well executed. Providing free tier for first timers to establish some trust and then a simple but not over priced effective plan.
      Well done.
      ---
Ironically I am working on something around time effectiveness myself and although the design is different, I've learnt a thing or 2 on how to have a more attractive landing page. So thanks for that.
I do have a question though, I am suspecting this is a well executed web app (if so, how long it took for you to design -> dev with how many people and what dev stacks you used/languages?)
      ---
      I would rate https://habitsgarden.com at 9.5/10.0 :D
      ---
I have begun designing my own time based formulation which is quite different from your product, but haven't yet begun development. If you have spare time of 50 seconds you can give this form (https://forms.gle/SqnQQH7brM6d2SCJA) a look, and in the end provide some tips as well since in my eyes having recurring 1000+ users is success and you have an awesome of 2k+.

      1. 1

Thanks for your kind words, this is precious!

Good luck for your app :)

        1. 1

lmao! Too bad, 'cause it's super cool.

          1. 2

Yeah, I agree. I'm sure I'll certainly back round to it. Just need some monetization ideas.

            1. 1

Heres an idea, premium features, build collections, limited amount of files per user. Just a thought but to monetize you need to cut off access

              1. 1

Thanks for the feedback - that definitely resonates with me, I guess I figured that people on Drawpool wouldn't go for it. Guess there's only one way to find out!

  6. 3

OK let's give this a go.. I'll start with my current project:

    1. 1

The simplicity of the landing page catches the eye. I think it's really good.

I don't know about the bottom of it, though. The box with the price and features is kind of rough on the eye.

Maybe if there was a footer or something to cushion it, visually. But I'm not a frontend UI designer. So I wouldn't know.

      1. 1

Thanks guys, I'll sort this out!

      2. 1

        Agreed. It ends abruptly.

      Thanks for your patience. :D

Wow, just checking this now after 8 days, and the response on this is brilliant (I was expecting 3-4 people to reply to this post) , not only me but everyone is checking everyone else out while posting theirs. Guys, I was not expecting this and this will take me some time to get back to you all and rate it. None the less, I would do it, slowly but surely. Thank you for posting. :)

"I acknowledge that I am canceling my subscription and will no longer have full access to unlimited features."
This sounds a bit odd. It makes user feel like they're doing something wrong ( Maybe that's the intended effect!)

I was able to understand what the product does in a very fast. Great!

Edit: I would love to see demo for "you may make them offers they won't be able to refuse" also!
Currently it is showing "I ack.." for all options.

      1. 2

        Thanks man, I appreciate this!

    1. 1

Interesting. This is quite opinionated yet very fresh. Why do you think the 'focusing on one change at a time' approach is better than side by side diffs? I also find the latter quite intuitive, but I could be biased.

      1. 1

It's just my personal preference :)
Figured some others may like it as well.

But I'm not saying one is better than the other, it depends on the PR, on reviewer and the author. For example, it is easier for new developers and juniors to go step by step, but for small PRs on a codebase you are very familiar, it is probably faster to use side by side diff

      1. 1

Ah, I think I see how that happened. I was relying on the video at the top of the page, which doesn't auto-play for desktop browsers. Maybe a series individual images with text will work better.

      Hi

      1. Font looks too big
      2. I couldn't fully understand how it works - Does this pass data to user's own server and then to analytics providers?
      1. 2

        Thanks for your feedback.

        1. I assume that the "YOU CANNOT ANALYZE,
WHAT YOU DO NOT MEASURE ..." font, right?
        2. Yes, sort of. It's doing this through user's domain, but we use our own servers. Then traffic is redirected to the right analytics provider. Maybe I should explain it more clear on the LP.
        1. 1
          1. Mostly everything "looks" big maybe due to black background
          2. Pls do
  56. 1

That is nice! I have some projects but I will share the 3 that I'm currently working on.

    1. 2

      The tweetpik page is amazing.
I could not understand the flow of using onetimemessage. Some simple diagrams might be helpful.

How do you manage to do all three projects? Are you a full-time indie hacker? I am a fan already.

      1. 2

        Thank you!

About onetimemessage, let's say you have a secret like a password or any sensitive information you only want to share once with someone, and for security and privacy reasons, you don't want this info on anybody else server so you can define a custom encryption key. I will try to add more info to the page about that, great feedback.

Haha, I'm not a full-time indie hacker but to make that work I usually like to create products that can be shipped with a really small scope, so I can build them quickly, ship them, and see what is the user adoption so I can better plan how much energy I will invest into them. I also don't put too much pressure on myself and I try to enjoy the process.
