TikTok-parent ByteDance sets out plans to take on Spotify

TikTok-parent ByteDance has begun talks with music labels to expand its music-streaming service globally to compete with industry leaders, including Spotify. The service, Resso, is available in India, Indonesia, and Brazil, but ByteDance wants to expand to several other markets. The plan is to integrate it into TikTok and make the app a one-stop shop for users to discover and easily subscribe to music.
