This famous painting has been on display upside down for 75 years

Abstract Dutch painter Piet Mondrian's painting 'New York City I' (1941) has been hanging upside down in various galleries for 75 years. It was first displayed at New York's MoMA in 1945, and despite this recent discovery, the artwork will be displayed in the wrong way to avoid being damaged. Museum curator even warns that hanging the painting the right way could disintegrate it.
