Had a quick question, what tool did you use to create the zoom in video for your product demo on your landing page?

          1. 1

It was done using Camtasia, it helps to edit videos quickly and easily.

            Thank you!

The video seems to be slow, it can't grab the attention about what it does. Please check that. [It's from my perspective].

        1. 2

Thanks for the feedback! Agreed it's not as visually compelling as the videos that do well- will make something more engaging!

          1. 1

            All the best!

  2. 6

This is awesome, congrats! r/sideproject is a great subreddit.

If you want to try to leverage Reddit even further I really recommend Surfkey.io by @JohanCutych to always find relevant conversations about Twitter/LinkedIn/Notion and provide value/plug your product.

I did not know about Surfkey, thank's for sharing!

Haha, you noticed it. Thank you so much :)

/r/SideProject is the best communtiy for promoting or showing off a new SaaS, super supportive and helpful community

    1. 1

Yeah, that's right. Reddit has great potential if used well.

  5. 2

ViaNotion looks like a great tool. You have done great work for the community! I will use it for both my personal and company accounts to automate the process of sharing content.

    1. 1

I'm so glad to hear that. Thank you so much for the good words.

Yeah sure, I'll help with anything you want with viaNotion ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ˜

  6. 2

That's great, but am I the only one that wants to know how you did this?
I can't image it was pure luck to get that many upvotes.
Is there anything we can learn from you? :)

    1. 1

      Thank you first of all.

Yeah, this is not luck. I have done this multiple times and even I got 100+ upvotes on /SideProject.

I have actually done a lot of observation on Reddit in various communities and was able to do this.

Maybe I can write up an article regarding this soon here.

  7. 2

It looks like ViaNotion ;) Thanks for the share!

  8. 2

    congratulations man๏ผ

    1. 1

      Thank you so much man!

  12. 2

Exactly, that how much potential Reddit has when it comes to growth.

One of the major reasons I create Promotee

    1. 1

Yeah, when used well it has great potential.

      Thanks.

    1. 1

      Thanks mate!

  13. 2

Wow, Great job! thanks fro sharing.
How you came up with this Idea?

    1. 1

I'm a Notion user and I wanted to have a seamless way to schedule and repurpose my content, so I thought of this.

Thank you so much for the good words mate.

  14. 2

Thats a lot of views. I have been on that sub for a year now & know how difficult it is to get 50+ upvotes. Great work!

    1. 1

That's right. People who have tried Reddit will know this.

That too /SideProject active member count is < 100(average)

Thank you so much for the good words :)

  15. 2

Well done! Is it the first time you post this video in a subreddit? Will you post it in another one in the future or you limit yourself to authentic content each time

    1. 2

      Thank you.

Yeah this is the first time and yeah in the future too I will post maybe I can create a better one than this.

    1. 1

      Thank you :)

  16. 2

Interesting product mate, how do you handle the rate limiting on Notion side?

    1. 2

      Thank you!

Currently, my requests are under the limit I guess. One request for every minute, writing will be 2 or three sometimes.

  17. 2

Congrats! How many have already paid?

    1. 1

      Thanks.

I didn't get what paid, you mean?

      1. 1

I'm sorry for the confusion. How many people have already paid?

        1. 1

About 30+ free trials are going on. I was building in public and had to announce about it this week on Twitter.

  18. 2

    Damn, this is awesome! Congrats!

    1. 1

Thank you so much, my friend!

  22. 1

Congratulations. Self promoting on Reddit is hard.

    1. 2

      Thank you so much.

Yes, true. It is not easy and that too active membership is low in /SideProject community.

  23. 1

Anybody out there with good karma on Reddit?

I would love you to give a shout out to https://fabform.io

  24. 1

Pretty nice! Have you posted other products before? Have you also compared video posts against other types of posts (e.g. text posts) and seen different results?

    1. 1

      Thank you first of all.

Yes, I have posted almost all of my side projects there. Most of the time I posted video content because I want to show people about my tools/products.

You can check my posts on various subreddits here: https://www.reddit.com/user/wahvinci

r/SideProject is the best subreddit for sure ๐Ÿ˜ I actually wrote a guide for finding users on Reddit which contains some helpful tips for you to reach even more people!
