RIP Alexa? Big Tech could soon mute its voice assistants

Alexa has been deemed a "colossal failure" despite being immensely popular in 2014. Amazon is set to lose $10B from this division: the company thought people would use it to order products, but that didn't happen. Instead, Alexa sees billions of weekly interactions for simple commands and information. Apple's Siri and Microsoft's Cortana are also in decline as concerns about data collection grow.
