For the second week in a row, The Hollywood Reporter’s Top Actors chart has a first-time No. 1 as Will Smith reaches the top of the tally dated Feb. 21.
The Top Actors chart is a ranking of the most popular actors on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, with global data provided by social media analytics company MVPindex. The chart's methodology blends social engagement on the platforms along with weekly additions of followers/subscribers. The latest tracking week ended Feb. 13.
Smith only recently made the chart for the first time, debuting on the ranking dated Jan. 10 after kicking off promo for his latest movie, Bright. Seven weeks later, he’s atop the chart with a 42 percent boost in all social media metrics, according to MVPindex.
Kevin Hart, the Feb. 14-dated chart’s first-time No. 1, falls to No. 2, followed by Finn Wolfhard, Dwayne Johnson and Zendaya in the top five.

Reynolds vaults back onto the chart at No. 6, a new peak for the actor and his first time inside the top 10 (he previously reached No. 11 in August 2017). The Deadpool leading man’s 70 percent leap in Facebook shares comes due in part to his sharing of the latest trailer for Deadpool 2 on Feb. 7.

Last week: 4
Though she drops a spot to No. 5, Zendaya nonetheless had the top-performing social media post by an actor in the Feb. 7-13 tracking week, thanks to a Feb. 9 Instagram video of her niece stealing one of the actor/singer’s fried zucchini sticks at a restaurant. The post earned 2.5 million favorites.
