I had tried copy.ai once to meet deadlines for some finance articles. The results were disappointing. It had regurgitated the prompts into paragraphs containing the same idea/information written in 5 different ways. Some of the points were completely removed from the topic's context. And the language was not ideal. Couldn't meet the tonality set for that project. I had to edit so much that I realised in the time spent I'd have rather written an article myself. These tools will definitely speed up mundane tasks, like writing e-mails and translation work. But when it comes to evocative writing, they are not there yet... The one's that hype about how "perfect human like writing" some AI has produced — probably they aren't that great of a reader. Passionate readers have discernment. But we do need to be cautious. Focusing on developing our creative skills will be necessary so we aren't becoming predictable. That's where creativity comes in. Embracing the our inherent nonlinear nature, divergent thinking, and ability to make deep connections is what makes us creative. Fuzzy thinking, subjectivity, and the uncomfortable principles of feeling and empathy is also beyond programmed intelligence.

Love this. AI is a great tool for copywriters, not replacing copywriters on 👑👈🏼

So good Shlomo, thanks for creating this. Excellent mini tutorial. I hope your readers all pay attention to this key point: a good copywriter, like you, knows what questions to ask, and when to ask them. Using AI to answer questions and help you consider things from new angles seems like the way to use the tool. Relying on AI to write mediocre copy... eh, not such a good idea.

Having been writing copy for 50 years I’m not convinced. Not because I’m desperately hanging on to the past, or hoping against hope that I won’t be made obsolete for the few productive years I’ve got left. I honestly believe that any good copywriter could outperform your AI process with inspired, left of field thinking that meets that age old adage AIDA. I would happily take on an AI copywriting challenge on any subject. So that’s putting my money where my mouth is. I still think Shlomo is the most innovative thinker and copywriter I’ve ever come across and you would best any AI programme out of sight!!

This is a spectacular guide, Shlomo! 👏 And the final headlines are even better!!! Massive respect - loved all 34 pages of it!

One of the most clearest example on how to use ChatGPT to boost copywriters' job instead of simply replacing it. Probably the best one I've read here on LinkedIn. This content is gold. Thanks Shlomo!
