2.1) Share a short version of your blog post. Make sure it has a visual, Facebook members love visual content.
2.2) Optional = (Comment 'yes' if you'd like the longer version of this post) to increase engagement
3.1) When someone engages(likes or comments), send them a DM with the following template..
"Hey [name], thanks for liking my post about self-promoting on Reddit earlier. I have 29 more examples like those at growtharchive.xyz. Thought you might be interested.."
3.2 When someone wants the longer version of this post:
"Hi [name], you can check out the longer version at growtharchive.xyz.. It explains the process in more detail here I couldn't fit everything into the FB post."

Leveraging Facebook groups for newsletter growth seems effective. How do you balance adding value to these groups while avoiding being seen as overly promotional?
pretty much just give full value on the platform itself and give the option to comment for a long-form version then send them your website link..
That's a good idea.
But you might need to invest a quite chunk of time on Facebook for that.
Its quick. I've already made the content for my newsletter. All i have to do is repost it there and wait for engagement and send the DM
