Twitter Launched Location Spotlights

Now users can find local businesses easily with their new feature which allows you to highlight your business location in your twitter bio. This feature was launched globally giving most biz owners access to location spotlight. Do you think this feature is beneficial?

Google Shows New Snippets for Quoted Searches

To help users discover the quoted queries more easily. Google will display the searches term with quotes in bold characters. This will impact click rates for sure, that’s why writing excerpts with more alignment towards the searchable keywords is the best thing to do. But so far Google hasn’t announced how this will effect search rankings.

Facebook to End Live-shopping on 1st October

To focus more giving advertisers to sell their products faster through reels. Facebook announced they are ending Live-shopping. I mean looks like they are sacrificing every feature helpful for businesses and going all in on reels.

Google gives Third Party Cookies Another Year

Besides Privacy issues in EU, Google Chrome extends the deadline of third-party cookies support into 2024. They need more time to find a better solution to third party cookies. This is good news for bloggers and advertisers but bad for Google in EU.

Instagram’s Worst Nightmare: Reels

In last week of July, around Saturday Instagram announced they are planning a TikTok-like full screen feed but just after that Instagram users started to call out the platform for focusing so much on reels which made them take back that feature.

Now Instagram has cancelled plans for Instagram Full-screen feed and AI based Post recommendations.

Pinterest Launched Real-time analytics in its mobile App.

Youtube is asking you to create shorts with this feature.

YouTube launched a new feature which you will see rolling out till the end of august to everyone if you don’t have it. You will be able to edit a long form video into a short with “Edit into a short” option. You can cut a part of your existing long term videos and repurpose as new Shorts.

Google July 2022 Product Review Algorithm Update is Out & Completed

This update was rolled out in the end of July and was completed on August 2nd. This update was focused on targeting low-quality reviews and Better content for e-commerce and product first businesses to create Better environment on the platform.

Microsoft Bing is testing new features!

Microsoft Bing is testing a bunch of new features and changes. The platform is testing to change “Trending on Bing” section to the right side. Expandable menu for News and video section at desktop serp. Various features related to Google search like Trending Videos are also coming to Microsoft Bing.

Tiktok Announced Access to 2 New APIs

The concerns related to privacy are not small but advertisers care about the data which helps them reach a better audience. To provide data along privacy, Tiktok issues access to new APIs. First API Will allow you to research Tiktok trends and ideas better and access to API for TikTok’s Moderation system.

#Meta is paying creators to try a new live-streaming platform.

The Company is planning to grow “Super” a new live-streaming platform under Meta similar to twitch and they are actually paying selected Facebook creators stream live on the platform. Do you think this is another copycat or an app worth checking out?

  1. Tiktok partners with Ticketmaster to allow ticket selling of music and other selected shows within the app.
  2. Instagram expands NFTs platform to 100 new countries making the feature more accessible.
  3. YouTube is working on new zoom-in feature for videos will be available soon.
  4. Instagram now allows you to sell products in DMs. Your followers can buy your products through DM enquiries. (US only)
  5. Google Search Console Adds CNAME domain verification.
  6. Tiktok will let users turn on closed captions even when users don’t have it.
  7. Twitter tries to revive dying Twitter spaces feature with themed stations.
  8. YouTube partners with Shopify to launch live shoppings feature.
