Inside the population explosion and how it will reshape society

The Earth's population hit 8B today, once again doubling in less than 50 years. People are living better and longer as child mortality rates are down, and we have cures for fatal diseases. However, the population will peak at 10.4B in 2080s and fall as fertility rates drop in countries. Everything needs to be reimagined to support an aging population as fewer younger workers contribute to the economy.
