Tom Brady and Tyrann Mathieu were heated after Super Bowl 2021 touchdown

A verbal melee between two Super Bowl 2021 competitors resulted in yet another questionable officiating call against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady appeared to chase down Chiefs cornerback Tyrann Mathieu shortly after connecting with Antonio Brown for his third touchdown of the first half, only for the interaction to result in a penalty against Kansas City.

The pair had to be separated and Mathieu was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct (15 yards)

Brady was not penalized.

“F–k him,” the 43-year-old signal-caller appeared to mouth from the Buccaneers bench after the scuffle.

Mathieu, 28, already felt wronged by the officiating staff after having an interception taken back on a questionable holding call halfway through the second quarter. He was visibly shaken by the referees’ decision and raised his hands in disbelief.

Brady has been near-perfect through two quarters, completing 16 of 20 attempts for 140 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions in the first half. The Buccaneers lead the Chiefs 21-6 heading into the second half.
