SaaS Calculator

I have developed this free calculator that will help you determine your startup's growth ceiling.
It calculates the CAC and LTV metrics and the growth rates needed to reach that ceiling.
It is just the first iteration and your feedback is much appreciated. 🙏

I also wrote a free financial modeling tool. see here: https://increnovation.azurewebsites.net/fermi

Hey Jason, this one is also useful indeed.

      1. 1

Hopefully it helps. Most importantly is to help people identify opportunity cost vs doing a startup...

  2. 3

    That's super nice!

In my case $1 generates $0.3 xD #stonks

I need to play with the numbers :)

    1. 1

Wow! Let me know if it helps you find ways on how to generate more. 🤑🙂

In case of any questions or requests, I am here.

This is really neat. Would be nice to have text input boxes as an option as well, but this is a really neat MVP.

    1. 2

Thanks for your feedback. 🖤 I will add input boxes soon. :))

      1. 1

Hi, Andy. Just for your information: I have released a new version with text inputs. 🙂

  4. 2

Nice work - a couple of nice data visualisations would compliment this nicely.

    1. 1

Yep, I want to implement some integrations and charts also 🙂

  5. 2

Hi Filip, I like that and just shared with my co-founders :)

    1. 1

Hi, 👋 perfect! I hope that you and your co-founders will find it helpful. 🙂

In case of any questions or requests, let me know. 🙏 I am here for you. 🙇‍♂️

    Great too, Filip.

For the following steps, you could define an offset where to start and show a diagram that visualizes how the numbers develop over time. That would show that they are not as static as the single numbers indicate.

    What do you think?

    1. 2

Hi 👋 Yes, absolutely. At the moment, the calculator works just with average numbers so that I can plot only linear charts.

How do you mean that the offset should work? 🙂 Can you share any examples?

Also, I can imagine some integrations that might bring the timeline with numbers. Those can be displayed historically in a sort of chart and with some future predictions/trends of your business... 🤔

      1. 1

With offset, I mean that you can put your current active user count (=offset) and project the future based on the growth and churn rates you add.

Also, costs could be related to their drivers as they will change according to the user count. Though support costs don't increase per user but in steps over time. Adding that might be a little more complicated.

Integrations would be nice, like IH integrating recurring revenue from Stripe. But that's gonna add a whole new level of complexity.

        1. 2

mmm yeah, got it. 🙂 I will try to implement and release it soon. 🙂 I will let you know. Thank you for this insight!

    This is so cool!

Do you have a Twitter for it yet? Would love to follow development of this app.

  12. 1

That's neat, the only thing that I am missing is some charts to bring it home for those who are not good with numbers.

  13. 1

This is good enough for new startup to evaluate if their idea is worthwhile to pursue.

    1. 1

Hi, yes, I absolutely agree 🙂😊

  14. 1

can you add an option to login with stripe take the data and just show me the results? i mean i would love to see it rather than having to manually input these values regularly

    1. 2

Hi, thank you for your comment! 🙂 Yes, I am discovering how to connect the calculator with Zapier or Make.com so that you can integrate it with your data. 😊

  15. 1

    Nice tool..
The description of 2nd last and last one is same.

  16. 1

Amazing work Filip! How are you using the calculator for your own SaaS companies/projects?

    1. 1

Hi, thanks! I use it for involving other teammates in those numbers. Also, I use it with the team for prioritizing the next steps. 🙂

  17. 1

Haha, this is quite nice for checking assumptions quickly. Thank you

  18. 1

Super clean, I really liked it, and shared it with my friends

Great tool! Just getting started with SAAS, this will be extremely useful when the time comes for planning.

    1. 1

Yes, I think that using the tool for syncing with others is the point. I often caught myself discussing those metrics with somebody who didn't understand them or didn't get the complete picture.

Hope that you and your teammates will find it helpful. In case of any questions/requests, let me know. 🙂

  22. 1

Very useful tool, I'll used it for my new saas.

    1. 1

Hope that you will find it helpful. In case of any questions/requests, let me know. 🙂

  23. 1

I think this one is really useful. I consider I will share it, don't I? Will you accept my?

    1. 1

Hi, Hope that you will find it helpful. That would be lovely if you would share it! 🤩 If do you build any tool, I can share it in return. 😊

In case of any questions/requests, let me know. I am here for you. 🙂
