How I record, edit, and promote my podcast in 2021

  1. 2

Loved it, gives someone everything they need to get started. I left some comments on my thoughts about Descript and a new app I started using by Steinberg. Descript is perfect for those starting from nothing IMO.

Gave it a watch. https://www.descript.com/ seems amazing! (note you should still fix your link @mijustin )!

This is a great overview! Descript looks really slick! I’ve been working on a transcription product www.podse.io and editing the audio based on the transcript is on my roadmap - way down the list mind you. The descript folks really seem to be knocking it out of the park!

Thanks for sharing! Descript is awesome for editing.

Do you create video teasers as well with the transcript from Descript? We're experimenting with using ML to pull our "shareable segments" from a podcast episode and create video from them to post on social... talking about it here: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/good-idea-automated-podcast-teasers-b8bfa4ba2d

Do you create teasers manually already? What tools are you using?

You might need to squeeze in trying out imvidu.com (shameless plug) lol.

Added to my watch later (but I promise I will actually watch it). Thanks for sharing!

These are my current recommendations for podcast recording, equipment, editing, publishing, distributing, and marketing.

Most notably, I've changed the way I edit podcasts. Now I use Descript: https://descript.com

Are you doing videos as well? Can I invite you to try my platform out? Imvidu.com... We're still early so very limited functionality when we release in a couple of weeks... But focused more on video.
