I was worried it would, because on the plan I was on I couldn't see usage stats (just end of month invoices). As I mentioned in the post, fortunately it didn't. It came to $70 in total for the whole thing, which actually Vercel covered because they enjoyed it.

This was so much fun to read. Really insightful about NFTs too.

The website received around 50 million views in a 5 day period. That puts it roughly on par with the New York Times, though all the visitors to istheshipstillstuck.com were seeing exactly the same page.

At its peak, there were 8,404 requests to the site per second.

Loved this 'birth of a meme'. Although some of the tech was above my head, the idea of accidentally hitting on an idea and putting it out there to see what happened hit a chord - and gave me anyway some insight into what's possible virally from a simple concept.

Had no idea that a stuck boat could be so interesting for people. But I guess things that cost a lot of money attract a lot of interest.

It must have been expensive? Or you built a static site? Ah nice $200 + (in wrapped ether :-). Vercel is good!
