Five hours of sleep is the tipping point for bad health

Less than 5 hours of sleep in mid-to-late age may increase the chances of multiple chronic health problems. A study tracked the sleep of UK civil servants, and those who were 50 and above and slept 5 hours or less saw a 30% greater risk of multiple ailments. Sleep is also an opportunity for the brain to be cleared of waste; thus, long stretches of bad sleep can also severely affect well-being.
