Coffee is in danger as it grows near the now drought- and hurricane-prone equatorial belt. While severe frosts in Brazil slashed last year's produce, rising temperatures could shrink coffee-growing land by 50% by 2050. Nestlé is "taking action" with $1B to protect viable coffee farms by 2030. The largest coffee company wants to adopt sustainable farming with climate-change-resistant crop varieties.
