10 Valuable Resources for Learning from Other Entrepreneurs

I love learning from entrepreneurs through interviews, case studies, deep dives, podcasts, and more. In just a short time, you can gain valuable insight that others have spent years acquiring. If you’re like me, you’ll love the ten resources featured here.

Indie Hackers

Of course, Indie Hackers is an excellent resource for learning from and being inspired by other entrepreneurs and creators. The Indie Hackers community is extremely open, welcoming, and helpful.

You can learn a lot by reading articles written by community members, and the product database is especially enlightening. Thousands of entrepreneurs build in public and share the behind-the-scenes details of their businesses and products.

Founder Reports

Founder Reports is a new site that I’ve been working on, along with my co-founder Dave Domzalski. We created the site to share the stories of entrepreneurs, founders, and creators in an open and transparent way.

You’ll find in-depth interviews and case studies at Founder Reports that can help you start and grow your own business. We’re also tackling the ups and downs of founder life by covering topics like stress, anxiety, and burnout that so many entrepreneurs deal with.

Failory

Failory is an entrepreneurial interview site that contains a wealth of information. Although the site publishes interviews about successful businesses, my favorite aspect of the site is the focus on businesses that failed. You can learn a lot by hearing the honest details of businesses and startups that didn’t make it.

Growth in Reverse

Each week, Chanel Basilio publishes a deep dive covering a successful newsletter creator. With all of the volatility in Google search rankings and the rise of AI-generated content, a strong email list is more important than ever. Growth in Reverse is an outstanding resource for anyone looking to build and monetize an email list.

Flip My Site

Flip My Site is my website/blog where I publish content related to buying and selling websites and online businesses. Each week, I publish a success story about someone who has grown and sold an online business. These stories are inspiring, but they’re also great for learning the processes and techniques others have used to grow and sell six and seven-figure online businesses.

Juicy Ideas

Hazel Lim of Juicy Ideas publishes a new deep dive case study each week. You can learn about top indie makers and how they built their successful businesses. Each case study provides key takeaways that will put you on the right path to success with your own ventures.

My First Million

My First Million is one of the most popular business podcasts with an entrepreneurial focus. Listeners get to hear from people who’ve succeeded with a wide variety of businesses. You’ll get plenty of ideas and inspiration you can put to good use.

Entrepreneur On Fire

This popular podcast, hosted by John Lee Dumas, publishes a new episode every day, plus a huge collection of past episodes. If you enjoy listening to and learning from entrepreneurs, you’ll love Entrepreneur On Fire.

Open Source CEO

Open Source CEO is a website and newsletter that publishes entrepreneur deep dives and leadership interviews. If you love digging deep into the details and stories of successful people, Open Source CEO is for you.

Mixergy

Mixergy offers a wealth of insightful interviews with top entrepreneurs. You already know some of the people featured here, and there are also many other amazing entrepreneurs featured that you’ve never heard of. It’s an amazing resource for learning and gathering insight.

Several of the sites here, including Founder Reports, cover marketing strategies in many of the interviews. You can learn from seeing what other people did to grow their business. I'd suggest looking for interviews (written or podcast) with people who run a similar business model to what you're doing, and learn from their experience.
