This Free SEO Tactic Can 10x Your Traffic

I read lots of posts that SEO is hard and frustrating.

But I think SEO just requires consistency. It's like going to a gym or having a diet. You won't get results immediately, but in 6 months you will have something to show.

We at Bluedot ๐Ÿ”ต always postponed SEO, and waited for better times (when we have more MRR, when we raise, etc). But we started SEO 4 months ago, and it already brings us 30x more traffic.

I want to share with you a low-hanging SEO fruit ๐Ÿ‡ that can give you a free traffic boost.

After 3 months of hard work here is a LIST of 78 directories & websites where you can publish your product for free.

Listing on directories increases your domain authority, boosts traffic, and ranks your website higher on Google. We sourced all of them manually, and I tested each website.

Have fun!

Would be nice if the list was updated to identify which have 'dofollow' links

    1. 1

You can copy the list, update it and post yourself. I don't mind.

      I'm just sharing what I have :)

  2. 2

    Can't thank you enough!

    1. 1

you are very welcome my friend!

    1. 1

glad it's helpful! and congrats on building 10K+ MRR business.

lots to learn from you :)

  3. 2

I can vouch for this tactic as a good way to kick-start your backlink building for SEO. So much that I created a browser extension to speed up the submission. I'm looking for early users, and I'm keeping it totally free for now. My alternative list is at https://formautopilot.com/launch-saas, with deep links to the submit page whenever possible.
    Feedback welcome!

    1. 2

Would love to use this tool and give you feedback.

      1. 2

Fantastic! You can get it directly from the link above, or https://formautopilot.com/download, or searching for "Form Autopilot" in the Chrome web store. I read every message! What are you trying to achieve?

        1. 2

Trying to build up our SEO for more organic traffic to our site. Have done a bit of backlink building with a SEO company but I am afraid itโ€™s not the best of quality. As a founder you know there are so many different things to be focusing on all at the same time.

          1. 1

Yes, that's precisely the use case for which I built the tool to begin with. It's rough in the edges still (which is why I'm looking for feedback), but it's already helped me start ranking a couple of side projects. Let me know what you run into!

            1. 2

just sign-ed up! where do I send you feedback? also there are no clear instructions on how to use it up yet. I installed the extension and just go on directories for it to work? or have to enable anything after creating an account?

              1. 1

Sweet! This is all great input. You can use the contact form to send me anything (https://formautopilot.com/contact).
To answer your questions, you need to first add a profile with the information you want to use in your online forms, then just go to the directories from that list and fill out one at a time. The system is not perfect so there are glitches, but that's exactly what I need help identifying.
The app should explain all of this by itself, so I'll think about how to make that more self-evident.

                1. 1

It is very confessing. I signed up and there is a add profiles area. It is just a text area. No instructions and have no idea what to do or put in the text area or how to use it. needs more explanation or a how-to video.

                  1. 1

Were you able to submit some forms?

                  2. 1

Thank you, that's really good feedback. There's a placeholder in the box, but it's probably not enough. I'll think about how to improve this experience.

  4. 2

If you have an affiliate program, you can submit it at TapRefer.com. Launching soon..

    1. 1

looks good. i like the niche focus on affiliate.

  5. 2

    Thanks for sharing!
I'm starting with SEO and this is very valuable!

    1. 1

for sure do SEO and don't stop. just allocate certain time to it every week.

  6. 2

Learn from you, such as this article is a good example of SEO getting backlinks. by https://fast2build.com

    1. 1

Unfortunately that won't work. Links in comments are marked as "rel=nofollow"

      1. 1

what does "rel=nofollow" mean and where are the comments that you show this? can u elaborate why it won't work?

        1. 1

the links which are nofollow don't share with your their domain authority.

you can get some traffic, but google won't put your website higher in search.

  7. 2

Thank u so much for such valuable info I will certainly apply these on my projects.

    1. 1

      Glad it's helpful!

  8. 2

Thank you for sharing this with us. Here are three more directories. - Appoint an AI Superlative Tools and Service Rabbit

  9. 2

    Thanks for sharing.

  10. 1

Interesting, thanks for sharing the list!

  11. 1

This is so true. SEO/ blogs have been a godsend for us at Mokkup.ai

We are now at over 30K+ customers in exactly a year, most of it was organic and involved very less marketing spend, majorly due to SEO!

    1. 1

great job! 30K customers sounds really impressive.

  12. 1

Great list thank you for sharing it with the community. Love to find new or more ways to build our SEO

    1. 2

SEO is long by rewarding. So cool to see more and more customers learning about us through google search.

      1. 1

That is a great felling to know your hard work is paying off with all the SEO work. Thanks for sharing the links. It will take time to fill out and sign up with each one but itโ€™s worth the time and I appreciate the link list. ๐Ÿ™Œ

  13. 1

My directory is also free (himingle.com). It's for tools that can be used in community building. If you have relevant tool, please add)

    1. 1

      thanks for sharing!

  14. 1

Thanks for sharing! I'm learning SEO!

  15. 1

    Thanks for the info!

  16. 1

    Congratulations on your success Russ!

Just a note of caution. for anyone considering doing this. Directory submission are nothing new. They used to be a big thing around 10 to 15 years ago.

Not so much now as the SEO community spammed it and Google caught on.

So, make sure that you only submit to relevant and high-quality directories. The Domain Rating included in the table is helpful, but no substitute for manual research.

You don't want to end up with a bunch of low-quality backlinks to your site. It's an easy catch for Google and you could find yourself placed under a manual action.

Big Google update rolling out this month. So be careful.

    1. 2

Great input Stephen! Seems like you know well the SEO game!

    2. 1

I would not spam turstpiolot with no reviews, this would hurt your rankings, and if its all nofollow , there isn't much use honestly, spend time on blogs with real content or free tools that is a much better way this spamming the web with links that no humans will click on... and Product hunt yes, but you need to launch first.

      1. 1

that makes sense. i might need to delete turstpiolot.

but there is no issue with nofolllow from website that can bring traffic.

  17. 1

    I like this directories!! thx!!

  18. 1

Excellent resource! We have been going to lots of directories past few days, but were flying kind of blind. With all the info nicely organised, it'd be much easier to prioritise.

Also, a question: do you think paid directories are worth it? Especially Futurepedia with $250 price tag?

    1. 3

I would say it was mostly waste of money.

they brought 120 visits to our website mostly from India and Vietnam and almost nothing converted to even signups.

      1. 1

Wow! Clearly not worth it... Thanks for sharing!

  19. 1

Love the directories list, really is helpful

    1. 1

      Glad it's helpful!

  20. 1

    Thanks a lot, guys!

There are many other "directories lists", but a lot of the directories are outdated and not working.

BTW, an idea for a future upgrade โ€” adding a link directly to the submit form. In some directories, it's hard to find it.

    1. 2

Not to hijack this thread, but I did exactly that in my list (https://formautopilot.com/launch-saas) with associated browser tool to speed up the submission process using AI. If you take a look, be sure to send me some feedback!

    2. 1

      Hey Max,

Sure, I'll try to make it better next time.

I'm just sharing the way it's saved on my personal list. If I start updating it and making more user-friendly, I would probably ask money for it :D

  21. 1

This is nice. The ROI of adding one's projects to directories is really good. I also created a directory where you can add your project websitehunt. co. The queue got pretty long as we are releasing submissions on a daily basis but I am working on it.

    1. 2

got job my friend! i'll check it!

  22. 1

Great list of Directories, thanks for sharing ๐Ÿ‘

  23. 1

have you guys 30x your traffic by simply listing on those directories of have you done more?

    1. 1

we published new posts in our blog + directories.

but please consider that our starting point was ZERO.

now with current traffic we have listing on directories would maybe bump it a bit.

  24. 1

Where would you list a Chrome Extension?

There must be specific places other than Chrome Web Store obviously haha.

I'm working on a shopping wishlist app.

And I'm also consider making a website directory of those that also includes pricing and filters by category of product you're building.

  25. 1

Hey Russ, i got here because of your post on Linkedin and found you here as well! Thanks for the list of directories again :)

    1. 1

looks like some virality kicking in :D

  26. 1

Hi. I just checked out "There's An AI For That" from the list because it is relevant to what I am building. However, it seems to be a paid service in order to list my product, with the $299 price tag for a basic submission.

    1. 1

they probably changed the pricing. the platform got so popular that now they charge for it.

  27. 1

In the past I outright refused any of these kinds of tactics and did 0 link building for an older project, only organic traffic from Google search. Unfortunately Iโ€™ve learned the hard way that Google will kill your website overnight even if itโ€™s fully organic with very helpful content, so this time Iโ€™m doing it different.
You shared a very valuable resource, thanks a ton!

    1. 1

i mean, it only takes 1-2 days and you forget about it.

that's why I think it won't hurt to get it done.

  28. 1

    Thank you Russ.

    1. 1

      you are very welcome!

  29. 1

Thanks Russ. Super helpful directory. We're focusing on the resources that publish DoFollow links to start.

    1. 1

      that's the right approach!

  30. 1

Thank you for sharing. It's useful for me.

  31. 1

Thanks for the directory. I see TrustPilot on there. Did you integrate that into your website? Or is the goal just to have a profile there?

  32. 1

Thanks man, love how one of the directories is IH)))))

    1. 2

ahha, yep surprisingly it is a directory as well :D

  33. 1

I saw this on reddit and ended up finding indiehackers because it was on the list. Nice site they've got here, but a little confusing TBH.

    1. 1

      ahah, nice path :D

confusing at first, but then you get used it.

  34. 1

That's great to hear about your SEO success! Consistency is definitely key, and it's rewarding to see results over time. Thank you for sharing the list of directories and websites for free product publication. It's a valuable resource for boosting traffic and improving website ranking. We'll be sure to check it out. Keep up the good work at Bluedot.

  35. 1

Thanks for sharing. Will be bookmarking this!

  36. 1

    lots of valuable information

  37. 1

Great share, thank you. Do you find that the backlinks from these mostly dofollow or nofollow? Have been under the impression that most places where you can post your own link donโ€™t pass on link equity.

    1. 1

      70% are nofollow unfortunately.

      1. 1

Makes sense, but still clearly great for driving traffic!

  38. 1

    Thank you, very useful.

    1. 1

      glad it's helpful!
