I've hacked outreach. Here's my trick for reaching out to cool companies.

If you are doing any cold outreach, this is super useful.

I used this "hack" to partner with cool VC companies or just reach out to companies I wanted to work with.

Have you tried something like this before? Do you know of any other cool outreach tricks that I should try?

Great tip, Heleana. Thanks for sharing. What are you currently working on?

Hey @SnehaSaigal, quick update, I've launched a cool project on ProductHunt today.

It's a library of video script templates and I would very much appreciate an upvote and some feedback! 🙌

      Hey @SnehaSaigal

I'm glad you found it useful!

I'm working on Videodeck.co - a video production service for Saas companies.

        Video deck looks awesome!

I am building a tool for indie creators to connect with experts to get need-based advice on anything from shipping, and scaling to selling side hustles. Would love for you to check it out.

I've been thinking about this in the back of my head but wasn't sure which role to connect to in the VCs. Will definitely give it a try.

Haha yeah, this works really well for connecting with VCs.
Some people pointed out that you can also reach out to personal assistants, social media managers, and partnerships people.

But from experience, the community people are the most eager to help, and they reply super fast.

Wow Heleana, that's such a great idea! Love these counter-intuitive tactics!

Have one to share as well that has worked for me - instead of reaching out through the platform X person is most active on, find the least active one that you know they still have to check. Seems to even pay bonus points for out-of-the-box platforms like streaming, finance/investing, gaming, fitness, e-learning platforms.

👀 This one is also good.

Especially since it shows that you took the time to learn a bit more about them.
Boosting someone's ego can be a powerful tool. :)

    Hi Heleana,
    it's a smart way, i will try :)

Super glad I could be useful to you. Let me know how it goes!

Btw, fully aware that this might be something common that lots of people do. haha.

I'm new to all of this. 😅

Forgot to mention, I'm the services industry. We have a video production service for b2b companies. https://videodeck.co/

This is awesome, thanks for sharing Heleana! One question for you: were you able to scale this at all, specifically Twitter, or are you prospecting individuals?

For sure, that's a great idea - and for day-to-day operations those bigger and busier companies, the Founder/CEO may have a personal assistant (who will also be worth contacting).

Definitely a great strategy to connect with someone who has the attention of the decision makers. That's one reason to be extra nice to the secretary. :)

      Haha exactly!

The hard part is doing that remotely.
